Becca was startled to find Flydehelm in her room, but warmed up to the idea soon enough. For a time they exchanged curtseys, but Becca was by far the betta.

Having snoozed and lost, and lost at the curtsey contest, too, Flydehelm hauled his bruised ego out in search of the mechanical hall monitor and a bed of his own. He was, however, intercepted by Miranda who persuaded him to join her for a little fresh air.
